On 26 June 2025, the IHSI Executive Committee (EXCO) convened in Lisbon for its annual meeting. The Chair Diana Delnoij, welcomed all face-to-face and virtual participants by reaffirming the organisation’s commitment to advancing health systems intelligence across Europe.
The Quality Management Committee (QMC) shared a concise update on the IHSI Database progress, ensuring alignment across all participants and working groups. The QMC has announced the exciting development to the close to the competition of the planned automation processes.
Executive Committee reviewed the proposed IHSI Data and Intelligence Policy, engaging in productive discussions that will shape how the organisation manages and utilises its data for system-level insights.
In the afternoon, Rui Santos Ivo, the President of INFARMED also welcomed all participants, leading into an important session on the Medical Device Horizon Scanning System, which included an update from the Medical Device Working Group, an agreement on the starting date of the feasibility study and the MD HSS pilot. Further discussions addressed data analytics developments, strengthening IHSI’s intelligence outputs, and updates on collaborations with the potential new members. The Secretariat provided an update on the Focus group progress and next steps. The meeting concluded with a collective commitment to continue building IHSI’s role in shaping data-driven health policy in Europe.
