The International Horizon Scanning Initiative (IHSI) is pleased to announce the appointment
of Francis Arickx as the newest member of its Board. With an extensive background in
pharmaceutical policy and international collaboration, Francis brings a wealth of experience
that will support IHSI’s mission to provide timely, evidence-based insights to healthcare
decision-makers to its members. 
 
Francis Arickx succeeds Anouk Waeytens, who has stepped down from her position on the
Board after seving IHSI’s mission for over five years. We extend our sincere thanks to
Anouk for her dedication and valuable contributions to IHSI during her tenure. Her insights
and commitment have played an important role in shaping the organization’s strategic
direction. 
As a respected figure in the field of health policy, Francis Arickx has been actively involved
in cross-border cooperation and pricing and reimbursement strategies. His expertise aligns
with IHSI’s goals to enhance early awareness and preparedness for upcoming health
